Still no pedals?

Yeah put some halfords specials on
I know you are entitled to put any pedals you like on any bike, but I (and I'm sure many others) are wondering WHY on THAT bike. Have you had traumatic experiences with clipless pedals? What is the point of those wheels, those bars, full Dura Ace ('except the calipers'), 6.75KG, and then 'halfords specials'? OK you can buy any bike you like, and spend as much as you like, I'm not saying you shouldn't, and I expect you can ride twice as fast as I ever could, but, but, but I'm intrigued?

one more post on here vickster...

i have tried clip ins once and crashed and the amount of damage to me and the bike compared to amount of effort saved was pointless...

have seen so many crashes with people using clip ins i dont see any point for me personally

just wanted to build a kick ass looking bike... because i can:hyper:

You presumably race which is where you see the clipless crashes? I expect they aren't anything to do with the pedals

I've had a few mishaps, but not once have the pedals been involved and they come undone when you fall at any speed. I've sustained many more flesh wounds from flat pedals!

Have you ridden the bike yet?

no i do sportives but just want to enjoy the ride.

not wanting to remember to keep cliping in etc..

what i would save in pedals, the bike more tham makes up for on the flat

Got my new bike last week  still not got it set up fully yet, and its been very icy here. The forecast says it will warm up this week, so hoping to get some commuting in before the Christmas break.
Put flat grippy BMX pedals on it, dont do clipless and its an MTB

Not at all. I must get a picture up in the next day or two. Sadly a combination of weather and family commitments have left me that I have yet to get out on it for a spin to see how it handles.
Just go anyway. It's only a bit of water. (this will come back to haunt me when I say that I haven't ridden in torrential rain)^_^
Will the family not understand that you have a new bike and want to go out to play?

They would understand, unfortunately this weekend past was taken up with visiting Santa and visiting sick and recovering in-laws so there was no time. If the weather plays ball this weekend I'll get out.
