Thanks for all the support. It's one of those situations you just have to see the funny side of or you'd run a mile

Guess I'll just grin and bear it

I had something similar at Harrogate Hospital.Fantastic staff .Doctor asked if he could show the other staff how big my piles were .Then he cut them off with rubber bands which later fell away normally .We are a funny lot we 'uman beings .

Who has ever taken "ginger" flavoured Fleet (Phospho Soda) bowel cleanser? Now that's a preparation for men; not a laxative and not for the faint hearted.

I spent about 8 hours on the bog after the enemas and prior to the colonoscopy.......... and crapped myself while getting out of the car outside the hospital ......

Strangely enough I was supposed to be getting this done on Monday but the kit only got delivered on Sunday, presumably the post office are playing catch up, so there was not enough time to prepare for it. I still attended the clinic (day surgery) as the phone line on the letter opens at 10am and the appointment was at 8.30am, but they told me to phone and reschedule. To be honest I'm not sure if I will now as I haven't had any symptoms since July and the leaflets scared me shitless, no pun intended. The drug supplied isn't picolax though it is something called Moviprep (the film star's choice).

A couple of pints of Theakston's Old Peculier has the same effect on me except the taking is a lot more pleasurable and the effect a little (not much) more measured.

Edit: Oh, and I've just remembered: Trout. I can't eat trout at all because it makes me pass hot grey water, no idea why, I must be allergic to trout.

BJB would you like to tell us all what sort of films you watch, if the actors need to take Moviprep? ;)
