Agreed- just flew back from Cyprus & 28C to Gatwick last Sunday nite- that had to have been one of the nastiest drives I have ever had- the M25 was a lake basically... Loads of fender benders from aqua planening - more to the point my nice new road bike has sat in the garage- I'm gagging to go for a long ride... Flamin' June indeed...

Who Dares Wins: went out yesterday evening at 7pm and splashed along recently soaked roads out of Whalley, getting a wet arse. Five minutes later we were on bone dry roads and basking in warm evening sun with blue sky and a few fluffy clouds. Did a brisk 21 miler with a stop for a pint of Timothy Taylor's excellent Golden Best at the White Bull in Ribchester:

just missed the rain this morning, tbh though i could have done with it near the end i was a fair bit warm!
the only time i hate rain is when i get up in the morning and i think to myself 'i don't really want to go out in that'
however 10 mins in and i'm happy as larry, warmed up and caring not about the rain!
sometimes you just have to say do yourself 'stop being a wimp and get out there'

A few specks of rain down here. About 20 minutes into my ride the skies darkened and I felt a few drops, but fortunately it passed overhead fairly quickly. It's a lot brighter now, although quite breezy. I daresay the Netherlands were on the receiving end of that raincloud
