So, in these cash strapped, recesion hit times, Chelsea pay out over £110 million whilst they are still £60million in the red. Planet football is obviously imune to normal financial rules.

The big money paid out by the top clubs is all from the pockets of their foreign owners, all the better for the treasury (and the rest of us) as they collect tax from it.

Beat on that same old drum why don't you. Everyone knows it's jealousy !

Yes, okay, I'm especially jealous of the designated singing area and the free flags, which must create a really genuine heartfelt atmosphere at the bridge. And, okay it's true, I'm very envious of John Terry's brilliant track record for England. His time at the helm is surely equalled only by Bobby Moore's, it must be the positive influence/role model of his mum who got caught shoplifting.

Bobby Moore, or John Terry, Surely there is no comparison. Anyone who has seen Bobby Moore play in the flesh or on film would say that Mr. Terry is along way behind Mr Moore.

There's no way Carroll is worth that money, around £15m would be the going rate normally. However as a LFC fan I think £50m for Torres was a reasonable coup for someone off top form and not wanting to play fully committed. The Torres money should have been used for two or three good players instead of the usual average performers we seem to attract.
