Well it was good. Lots of baby elephants too. Some were even practicing car washing (well trunks and water were involved). If you missed it I suppose you might catch it on the iPlayer now.

Gah! Missed it, was offline by the time you posted. Annoyingly, I was mostly ignoring Masterchef while I knitted, waiting for Five Days* to come on. I'd have channel hopped, but my back is sore, so I couldn't be bothered to get up out of bed and retune the telly. I'll see if I can get my laptop to play iplayer (it can't cope with youtube).

*Which I've mostly been watching because of David Morrissey:tongue:, and quite got into, but now they seem to have bloody killed him off!

Anyway, thanks for thinking of me!

No worries. Hope your back gets well soon. And hope you can get iPlayer working.

I've also been watching 5 Days. But not for DM. As a dramatisation it's a bit slow. And the people links are all a bit unbelievable. But I'll watch tonight's (last) episode.

Well, no, I suppose he's not your type. I seem to have a prediliction for people called David recently...

He'd have made a cracking Doctor though.

Still, they may have mashed him with a car, but at least there were all those swimming trunks scenes...

I've quite liked the slowness. And the fact that there hasn't been a new body every five minutes, like there seems to be in so many detective things. Just a shame they had to doom the potential happy relationship, I knew they'd have to stamp that out somehow...

Well it was well made and well acted. But it seemed to be more of a random walk thro' stuff with links between the people which were a bit contrived. Don't tell anyone but I had my eye on 2 of the ladies.........;)

Only 3 deaths tho'. Unlike Midsomer Murders where it takes John Nettles murder of the masses before he can slovle the case.

Yebbut, John Nettles... Ok, he's getting a bit more on the stout side these days, but I wouldn't say no.

Morse always had a pretty high body count too.

I liked 5 Days, even if they did kill off the hunk (in my view, still they left Hugo Speer alive). I liked that it didn't really sew up neatly at the end, that it was a bit random, it seemed more real than something with a grand denoument and congratulations all round. And I liked the fact that they had a romance between a couple of 'oldies' without making a big thing of their age as such.

Hmm, so which ladies....?;)

Yes I think I feel the same way about it having given it a bit more thought. Sort of Real Life - no one ever says thanks sort of thing (present company excepted) and it's just "how long till the next crisis?".

Now the ladies (I don't know names of actresses) but DC Franklin was rather nice and the Asian actress - wife of the converted Muslim was gorgeous even in her head dress.

Which one was Hugo Speer?

Ah, I assumed it wasn't Anne Reid. Although I like her as an actress, she was great in Dinnerladies. I think the head dress adds something, TBH - maybe it's a hint of mystery? After all, the eyes are such an important thing.

Hugo was the chief super or whatever rank he was - the one that came in and took his clothes off in the office. Presumably he's had some level of nudity in his contract since The Full Monty....;)

I think there was only one scene where she didn't have the head dress on and the cascading dark hair certainly produced even more mystery with those eyes.

Hugo - you like craggy then? ;)
