(The rules state that if you start off fitter than me, then you are allowed to stay fitter, but if you start off less fit than me, or become less fit then you have to trail behind me for ever. Or bribe me to allow you to go in front! ;))
Except for rule 7.b which makes an exception in the unlikely case of a forum ride organiser suffering a near-death experience which stops her/him cycling for an extended period of time.

In that specific case, other riders are given permission to attain the highest level of fitness possible in the mean time to provide a decent target for said organiser to aim for when (s)he eventually gets back on her/his bike!

Hey, is it okay to use a steam cleaner on Lady Bikelor? Will it hurt her?

I tried it on the chainset and covered the frame with a towel. It certainly helped to loosen all the crap on it and also helped me clean the inside of the rings (if I take them apart, they are never going back together!!!!).

Also allowed me to pretend to be a ghostbuster, which is always good. I haven't cleaned her properly for ages, but she (was) all nice and sparkly (not as clean as Ian and Fossy's bikes, obviously. My plates aren't that clean!)

Fantastic MissTilly!
Wonder if it's ok to let steam near the tyres? I find spokes and rims a chore, more than the chainset, as I've got a wee nifty curved brush for the rings.
What do you think?
My coffee cups aren't that clean either
