Hello Mort!

I'm driving back to England in the middle of October via Denmark, Germany and Holland en route to the Hook, leaving for Harwich 13.45 on Sunday the 18th.

I'm not looking for a free night's accommodation, but if you live within an hour or two from the Hook, I'll try and book a hotel in your town, or nearby - IF you want to meet up for a beer, that is.

I'll understand fully if you're otherwise engaged!

I tried to start a conversation but I was blocked (so I'm not holding out much hope for an answer).

I could be up for that, too. I'll be on the E45 anyway.

Arrive Hook of Holland 08.00 3rd November, then ferry from Hirtshals to Larvik 23.00 (IIRC). It's only a 10-hour drive or something, so I should have plenty of time.

The embarrassing thing is that I live only a few miles from Stephenite and haven't seen him for ages. I'll have to put that right and get to the local Irish pub to watch some rugby with him.

I work 2 minutes off junction 24 of the E45 at europes largest sail loft. Its right next to the motorway. If you want to swing by
I will show you round and I will get the coffee and cake in.

OK, how far from the Hook?
