I going to admit I had to google Ron Burgundy to find out who you were on about.

Zimmer frames at the ready...
*note* the directors cut of Pink Floyd in Pompeii is absolute pants. Avoid at all costs.Algie was featured on the One Show the other night, breaking his teather, causing havoc with air traffic control and drifting about 40 miles and landing in Kent somewhere.
No doubt many fans already know this but for those that don't, if you can get hold of the DVD of them Live at Pompeii (in the amphitheater) circa 1972, just them no audience, it is mind blowing, especially Echoes off the Meddle album. Brings me out in goose bumps every time.

That's OK, cyclechat café generally has no rail track anyway....I think we need to apologise to @captain nemo1701 for derailing the thread

Not in this case. it's the original with remastered audio, plus additional cheap CGI of the Vesuvius eruption... absolutely shocking.Director's cut - by definition is the original with all the bits that were not actually good enough for the original version
I apparently saw AC/DC when Bon Scott was singing for them, and it has been said that I attended a Johnny Winter concert at the Town & Country too..................don't remember a thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You didn't get backstage at the Them Crooked Vultures gig and 'meet' John Paul Jones and David Grohl did you?

Of course, it is on u-tube.
A spine tingling way to spend ten minutes. (If I can remember how to get the link thingy to work).
Another great version is on David Gilmour Remember That Night Royal Albert Hall 2006 DVD. Worth getting for the late Mr Bowie as a guest right at the end.
Also, check out the DG 2002 gig with an encore of Comfortably Numb at the end, Bob Geldof as guest and quite possibly the best version of that famous riff....![]()
Unfortunately not...You've met the 'Vultures? Homme is my second favourite music hero after Ian Anderson.
