Is it off and running? Any photos? 👍I crowdfunded the Roccbox.
Sounds good, so what did you fire it up with if you haven't used wood?Had it for 3 years. I'll see if I can dig some out. It's a quality piece of kit, albeit I've never been bothered to fire it with wood!
It comes with both wood and gas burners.Sounds good, so what did you fire it up with if you haven't used wood?
What's the longevity of a cob oven?Built a few. Here’s one in cob from last summer. With the right fuel and a good door it’s hot for a couple of hours with two bags of logs.

You only need a normal oven and a pizza stone.
my ex father in law bought one (a uuni I think) and the heat was very uneven. And it cost 300 odd quid.
wow, now that looks fantastic 👍😍What's the longevity of a cob oven?
ha- come on Neil here's a challenge for you.....La La La not listening, move along nothing to see here.
Damn you all to hell, at best I need a flagstone and at worst you'll cost me hundreds, anyone mentions fabulous sourdough and I'll hunt you down and hurt you - co-op sliced white will be applied like it or not, well unless you have crispy bacon and then you can't have any sliced white...
Built a frame and roof round that one. A similar design is still being used eight years later. Cob cracks over time but is easy to repair. It doesn’t do well in direct rain, but can be made less permeable with lime plaster and a few coats of linseed oilWhat's the longevity of a cob oven?
