Places you never manage to get to

I can't be the only person who has one of these. Mine is a village called Eaglesfield on the way to Cockermouth. I've intended to ride through their on numerous occasions and every time I've managed to take a different wrong road and miss it. It's only 15 miles from me and I'm not even sure if it exists

So where is your local hidden destination?

I tend to give Basingstoke a miss whenever I can!

I cycle all over but never go through it (I live about 2 miles outside the town).

Even if you want to go there the ride is horrid. You either take your chances on the huge roundabouts and dual carrageways or take a useless cycle path that makes you stop to give way to everyone and runs out before it gets to town chucking you out onto a busy road near the railway which is not really in town. Then the whole town centre has banned cycles so you cannot cut from one place to the next by bike unless you go around the ring road!
