Mrs Cube found links to a AC-DC tribute band at the Picturedrome, and in a rush of blood to the head bought tickets for us and our friends, so it'll be four adults (one sober) who can see the point of an AC-DC tribute band (not all based on irony) and three 14 year olds who will spend the evening wondering at the folly of adult nostalgia. Or something like that.

Normally we all gather at a particular friends house but they are away ... so another friend volunteered to host it instead. We have been going there for 10+ years (though when the kids were really young we used to have to leave before midnight). And we turn on the TV just before midnight to watch the fireworks on TV and watch the local ones out of their 3rd floor window.

Drinking neat gin and then trying to apply makeup to the Yorkshireman. I will fail and I will be tickled. Then I will throw up and fall asleep at 4.30pm and not wake up until the same time the next day.

I'm due to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 1800 hours so expect there will be some fireworks to look at but also some jetlag to try and minimise during the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
