The aire de pique-nique at St-Congard – with the river Oust flowing behind me. It was a pleasant and quiet stop on yesterday’s ride but I imagine it would be heaving in July and August. There were still plenty of tourers yesterday with heavy sacoches plying up and down EV1, enjoying the calmer weather.
