Fingers crossed from me.

I remember seeing a flypast over Bolton town hall many years ago. The Lancaster a Spitfire and a Hurricane.

Really stirs your soul to see these magnificent machines in the air.

You can get this close (& pay, if you wish, to have a taxi-ride!!)

It would be great to experience, but a 300 mile round trip means it's a tad unlikely
It shouldn't be. I make the journey (about 320 round trip for me) twice a year to see and hear that thing as a memorial bike meet for a friend who died 5 years ago from cystic fibrosis.

Was just going to say I've been there with Norm on the motorbikes. Just Jane is awesome. It would be incredible to see her airborne. The sound of those engines is very evocative, even though I am obviously too young to have heard one in the war. Must be all the old war films, but it made my hair stick up when they fired her up. Would like to go there again. Norm, give us a nudge when you go next summer.

I can't do anything but agree with all of those sentiments, my hair seemed to stand up too, & stir memories of what I've seen (films/documnetaries) & read over the years
