Oh you have never lived Classic, you have NEVER LIVED!!
Not in the ladies for a week, at least.

Besides, I never said the note was blue either (you did, although it does have some blue bits on it, I agree).

I was trying to point out you were getting your notes confused, on colour grounds alone.

Actually, the reason why I continually think its a tenner is because, when I found it, it was near to a cash machine with people using it, and I simply assumed someone had dropped a note. I asked if anyone had dropped the note, not even realising what it was (why would I have thought to look? Its brown, its money and its next to a cash machine, it isn't rocket salad!).

It was only when someone looked at it, they saw what it was and told me to keep it, but also congratulated me on my honesty! :becool:

I'd still love to know the story behind how it came to be blowing down the pavement on Dumbarton High Street! I presume either it had fallen out of somewhere/been blown away/had been dropped, or someone had discarded it because of the change to Euros, but to just throw it away like that? And on a Scottish High Street too? I mean, it wasn't even Ireland! It seems just a bit odd to me!

It has a safe home now though.

A memory stirs.

I remember my mother got a Roman coin in some change once. I still have it somewhere, its about the the size of the last half pence.

All my spare changes goes straight into a jar, emptied it a couple of weeks ago and managed to get £50 out of coppers.
I was thrilled, unfortunately some of that was soon spent on replacing a snapped chain.
