and I'm confused about the rear wheels of the car bit

Apparently the rear wheels of the "car" bit tuck up into the back wings when the back and front are connected. Look up Plymouth Voyager 3 on Wikipedia.

Given the weight distribution - especially given the relation of the saddle to the rear axle
I would suggest that it is a device designed to create head injuries??
