I wish to register a complaint

That is not pointless or impractical

I have seen several campervans towing Smart cars and similar clearly so the people could park the camper van and use the car when they are there

this is just a massively cooler version of the same thing - very practical

in fact bet Drago is making plans as I type!!

It is also quite similar in concept to canal/river barges in Europe, which frequently have a car sitting on the rear deck, ready to be lifted off and driven when the barge moors.
