Question for the men who wouldn't use pink tools / whatever. Do you mind if I ask why not? Just curious.
Exactly. That's a weird site. You're not supposed to discriminate by gender in selling insurance - is this a way of doing it without actually saying so? I mean, they don't say you have to be a woman to have their insurance, but it's completely aimed at women and I bet the majority of the people using the site to get quotes are female. Maybe by discouraging young blokes from using the site because of the pinkness, they are lowering their risk?

What had particularly shocked me about this, was that just a year or two before this, Lego had been named "Toy of the 20th century". It went counter to what I felt Lego was about. The most heinous example of pointlessly gendered toys I have seen was in a Lego catalogue about 10 years ago. Everything in the catalogue was gendered, including their brilliant Mindstorms range which was for boys only, leaving some terrible pink castles and princesses for the girls - the sort of pre-formed lego that can only really build one thing, so not even creating very creative play within that limited pink/princess dominion.
Besides anything else, why were they denying themselves the sales from girls who might enjoy Mindstorms?
