Police and HGV's

Outside KIngs cross today were the Police looking to educate fellow road users on the dangers of blind spots on HGV's.

They had a lovely gleaming white 6x2 Scania, some tables with some tarp which resembled stalls giving important informative information.

Good to see - the less ignorant out there the better.

Bravo the Old Bill and chapeau for the effort involved.

A welcome initiative indeed.

Did they say when they'd have a couple of bikes for lorry drivers to try riding while being skimmed by an artic? (I'm only half joking.)

yes its really good when you ask why they haven't got all the mirrors they could have, and then set the mirrors better than the "proffesional" driver so you can see places they were missing. My dad used to have them set in one position for driving and alter them for reversing/shunting. Now when the vehicle is turning, thats a different story as there are significant blind spots.
