125cc without L plates are regularly stopped. After all, the majority of 125 users are L-platers (not all, and there are good reasons to use a 125 rather than a bigger bike). And there's also a large number of L platers on 125's not displaying the plates.
This...
Just sick it up, soon the plate will work through the anpr database and it will stop.

125+no L plates=stops by plod.

Ask your local station Sargent to out a word for you.

And yes it is discriminatory. Perfectly legal justified discrimination.

Could you point me to that bit of statute, please?

Here for rides.

They don't need a statue other than the usual which empowers them on the basis of a reasonable suspicion of malfeasance by the rider. A reasonable suspicion that will form when they see a rider on a 125 with no L plates.

If the OP rode a C90 he'd be ignored.

But it is proba

I was a full licence holder, had been for a couple of weeks.

Learner car drivers favour Corsas and Festers, but the feds don't stop them purely because there's a young driver.

I'd hazard a guess if they saw a young driver in a Porsche they would be stopping it.

Where is the "reasonable suspicion of malfeasance"?

Is that the same "reasonable suspicion of malfeasance" that sees a Jamaican friend of mine repeatedly pulled over for driving a Mercedes coupe?

Funnily enough, his number plate doesn't seem to have "worked it's way through the anpr database", despite his having the car for some years, so he still has to "sick it up".

Why does it have to come to that, though?
Because often nothing changes if no-one complains

Why, if the driver was obeying all traffic regulations and not endangering other road users by his actions?

Is being young enough to provide "suspicion of malfeasance"?

So you would feel it's acceptable to not stop any road user as long as they were obeying traffic and not endangering others?

So you're ok with unlicensed, and uninsured drivers on the roads? So long as they're careful?

So now you're saying it's discrimination on the basis of age.... you seem to be getting awfully confused about what your point actually is.
Erm... Apart from the fact that I'm not the OP, that post directly addressed another which said about a young person driving a Porsche being fair game.

How many Corsa drivers get stopped for not having L-plates?
