700x38 - they were the ones on the bike when I bought it so I've stuck with that size when I've had to replace them.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was looking at the armadillos actually and will give them a try when the current Durano Plus' wear out - thanks for the tip![]()
Just to offer a counterpoint: they seemed to change to a grippier make-up a few years ago and then they gripped a little too well for me, holding debris on the tyre long enough for the road to hammer it through. I also stopped buying Specialized because of Roubaix and a few other things... but I may fit my last Armadillo to a bike for this winter when I get a round tuit, just because it grips well and is better than the tyre currently on one of my bikes. They are very good tyres. Take a while to get up to speed but once rolling are pretty quick. They grip is very good in the wet too.
I'm also on 26 x 1.5 for the same reason. 700 x 25 is far too uncomfortable.I'm usually on 26x1.5 as I have some sketchy streets on my commute, sometimes 700x28 if I get out the Technium for speed, or 650A on the Raleigh Sports for the charm factor inherent therein.

Have a google to get the best prices.
The last pair I got where from JE James.
