Going to be very high in the bottom half of the UK!
I predict runny eyes and soggy handkerchiefs for many for a while...

On a more serious note, I’ve been a life long sufferer. Did I choose an unwise profession...?

One scary episode was starting a sneezing fit that developed into a clear jelly like substance coming out from under my eyelids. It lasted for about 5 minutes, that’s never happened again thankfully!

Mine has died down gradually as I’ve got older, happily!
I do, occasionally, get runny eyes whilst cycling.
Wraparound shades keeps a lot of it out of my eyes, but it still goes up my nose!

It's been VH here since at least Thursday. I'm struggling to keep on top of mine (sore, stinging eyes) with tablets, nasal spray and eye drops at present. Roll on some rain!

I'm wondering if I have a mild allergy to the stuff? I have never given it much thought in the past but I have been sniffling and had runny eyes for weeks now as if I am coming down with a cold, but nothing has developed. Thinking back, the same thing happened last year.

Could be you are only allergic to specific plants. I suffer when Plane trees are in flower but not affected by much else.

Anyone else had the same?, it's unbearable at the moment and I got no sleep at all last night.

Tried cetrazine (sp?) and lorratadine (sp?) but neither touch the sides!.

At a loss really, anyone got any magic remedies?.

They don't exist. I'm fortunate enough after 50 years to nearly have grown out of it. I suffered really badly as a child. Two of my three now have it and Fexofenadine seems to work with them. 120mg for adults. Various antihistamines seem to work on some and not on others so try a few and use the one that works best. Speak to a pharmacist. Hateful hateful affliction.

Fortunately I have just about grown out of it. As a teenager I had it dreadfully bad and it really affected me at exam time. For me I find wrap around sunglasses help. I also use a nasal spray which is good. I find alcohol and coffee makes it worse.
