I've had a little windfall from HMRC and syphoned some off before handing the rest over to Mrs Ibbots to do something sensible with, or feed the child or whatever is apparently more important than my bikes. So... I have just ordered meself a Pearson Touche frame and set of Kinesis DC07 forks, some new tyres and 'guards and a set of Tektro R538s. and quite pleased about it.

I will be left with a Pompino frame, Alpina winter forks and a shed full of the kind of stuff that you accumulate over a number of years buggering about with bikes such as road and mtb chainsets in various states, a complete LX goupset, numerous bars and stems. I've another junker that I can strip for useful bits like saddle, grips and bar ends for the time being.

My only idea is to get some studded tyres and build an extreme weather commuter but that would require a set of Pompino forks to get clearance for the front tyre.

anyone got any better ideas for using this stuff? - I really can't be arsed with ebay and can't imagine I'd get much for any of it in any case.

Also, would I be able to get a decent chainline off either a double or triple chainset or am I going to have to buy a new one?

Ss is easy, the chainline xan be altered by the use of a ss conversion kit(15 quidish). The kit comes with spacers so you can alter the chainline to suit. Easy peasy

If you can't be done with the faff of Ebay maybe your best bet is to make up another bike with the bits and flog that on here.

Or flog it on here separately. A stem might only fetch £8, but it sounds like you've got plenty of £8s there.

Good idea, I might have to run a virtual shed sale

If the frame is a medium (51cm) I could do with knowing if you're going to sell it within the next one day and 6 hours!
