Think I could actually go fishing in that!


We do. Mr WD always wanted his own pond that he could fish. We have common carp, mirror carp, tench, roach, rudd, crucian carp, a few stickle back's and a few perch to keep the fry down to a reasonable number. There must be well over 250 fish.

If you don't know anything about ponds, the best thing you can do is to buy a book and read the dos and don'ts.

Ponds are great no matter how small. Just hearing the sound of running water is very soothing

I like koi. We used to have them. We bought them with us to heee from birmingham, but an otter got hold of them and ate the lot.

We've had lots of little ones despite no frog spawn in our new little pond, I'm assuming that the are all from next door's pond. That one above is really cute! I don't know why some people hate frogs, I love them!

I happen to have a pie in the oven right now. No frogs were harmed in the process - they are too small to fillet at the moment.
