This poor cyclist got a proper drenching from this driver. I'm assuming he failed to observe the puddle and the cyclist. (The cyclist by the way was on a cycle/pedestrian path and not doing anything wrong.) To even think of undertaking me while I was circumnavigating the floodwater, despite clear hand signals, what a Pratt of a driver.

Oh, and make sure you watch the whole clip. the rear view shows it better.

If saw the puddle, then arse.
If he didn't see the puddle then he probably all he/she could. Trying to brake or steer heavily whilst on a puddle like that will probably lead to aquaplaning.

In 2005 a man from Yeovil in Somerset was fined £150 and given three points after accidentally driving through a puddle at 10mph, soaking the trousers of a workman standing at the side of the road.
Last year a woman in Manchester failed her driving test after accidentally splashing a woman standing at a bus stop. She was told it was a legal requirement to stop and provide her details to the pedestrian.

I got sprayed the other week by a motorist using his windscreen wash,I chased him but he bottled it by going round the green at Harrow Green when the lights went red.

I've been squirted with tomato sauce at Mile End years ago,got to Waterloo covered in sauce and got sprayed with water on the Epping Road in the late 1980's,guess I was thankful it was just water.(or p155)...Been splashed a few times like this,5h1t happens.

Do you have a clear veiw of the registration plate BP? If so report it as it a clear case of driving without due care and attention (I think).

YS10 NYF, this is the car that the video pauses on at the traffic lights. As for reporting it, I'd love to, but to who? London cycists have RoadSafe, but South Yorkshire Police don't seem to have a similar scheme.

If she can't safely negotiate a bloody puddle then I certainly wouldn't want to share the road, and all its attendant hazards, with her.

Why was that even on the news?
I would certainly have expected to get a fail if I'd done that on my driving test, silly cow
