Poorly leg

I have no idea what has happened but on Friday my left leg felt a bit sore, hard to explain but it felt like someone had given me a dead leg, yesterday it was worse, today its much worse.......feels like the pain is going down my femur, it is very painful to walk or go upstairs, it was so bad I hardly slept a wink last night, I haven't knocked it or been on the bike for a few days, but its definitely getting worse.........any ideas chaps and chapesses.

all the way down, seems to be mainly middle of thigh, but seems to ache loads at the front on the leg

I don't want to worry you but a friend of mine had a blood clot in his leg. The symptons were similar.

ah ok. it doesn't sound like sciatica caused by pressure or irritation on the sciatic nerve. sorry can't help but good luck getting it checked out/ sorted.

Get down the Doctors or if appropriate to A&E

I think Redrider may have hit the nail on the head, I do suffer sciatica and had a massive attack 3 years ago which had me off work for 3 weeks and in pain for around 3 months, but that was in my lower back and down both legs but at the back of the legs, didn't realise it affected the front of the legs

Could be a nerve in your back, not full sciatica but something pinched. I once had similar, ibuprofen helped.

I'd still take the advise of posters above and go to see your DR, just in case. That should always be your first port of call DM.
