Another fantastic turn-out (4000 estimated) at yesterday's Pedal on Parliament 2 event (organised by magnatom and HJ, formerly of this parish). You can see it on the front page of today's Times.

Nice to briefly meet the Glasgow CC feeder riders at Holyrood and snorri on the Meadows (as well as meeting Mrs magnatom & the mini-magnatoms, and eating more of Scoosh's cake this year!)

Last year I photobombed most of the shots I saw online. This year this is the only one of me I've seen, but it has been widely shared on Twitter. I joined the very last cyclists at POP2 after it was clear to leave my marshal's post - a wee girl of around three and her Mum, plus a few police cyclists. She was a wee star & so cute. I think she's in a shot on the Herald newspaper.

Anyway - me from the rear!! https://twitter.com/EdinCityPolice/status/336170253618929665/photo/1

Looked to be a lot more than last year even though police estimates were only 2500. More like 4000 as you say if last year is anything to go by. Lots of support and folk taking pics. We did seem to stretch out too thinly at parts mainly because we had the roads to ourselves and didn't need to stop for lights. See you at POP3?

Good to meet you there Goo.
The whole event ran very smoothly, thanks to the efforts of the marshalls.
Thanks. It was good to be able to help after enjoying POP1 as a rider!
