Twas one of the muscles I injured in 2016 when the dog ran into the front of my knee at full tilt and hyper-extended my leg. 2 years on I still get the occasional ache, but by and large all the soft tissue involved had recovered within 3 months.

I was referred to do a physio too. Being a registered carer I didn't wait long, and she was brilliant. I'm confident she really accelerated my recovery.

No bud, never caused me problems with my knee giving way. Mine doesn't ache often, but occasionally after a busy day I'll be laying in bed and the old injury will ache enough to trouble me getting off to sleep.

I was on crutches about 6 weeks, and scrupulously followed the physio instructions. I'm 49 (47 then), above average height and weight, mesomorph with minor ectomorph characteristics.

[/QUOTE]
What did they say about it? Do you have a rehab programme?

How do you know it’s not due to meniscus tear or arthritis? Did you have an MRI (my shredded meniscii cause my knee to buckle as described)
