Post restante in australia.

Has anyone used post restante to send gear to Oz for touring?
As I will probably need more than the airline allowance for 5/6 month outback tour, Emerates airline have a good allowance at 37kg, 30 hold, 7 cabin but I think I might need more than that.
Thinking of starting in Perth and don't know any body there I could send stuff to.

Just weighed the bike and a few camping bits and I think I'll be OK just won't take much else.

If you do need extra you should be able to send it to a hotel that you may want to stay in for the first night. In the past I may have been naughty enough to cancel the hotel booking after I picked up my items.
