Nope, Generally avoid the puddles as there is usually a big hole in it. Crashing through puddles off road is OK on my MTB though !

It's not crazy fun, as a pinch flat and a bent rim aren't funny, especially if brand spanking new !:cursing:

With a snaped chain.

Happened to me back in November, it had been raining so the roads were wet at night in rush hour traffic coming the other way so it wasn't easy to see what was on the road, seen this puddle at the last moment missed it with my front wheel but my back wheel didn't, hit with such force my bungee bounced of my panniers rapped it self round the lower part of the spokes then rapped it self around the rear cog and then snapping the chain.

The rim was quite badly bent from hitting it, went past it a few days later when the water had gone it was at least 4-5 inches deep.

A lucky escape me thinks the wife had to come and pick me up I was wet, cold and annoyed
