All the best from here. Are you part of Cycling UK was CTC or British Cycling, get in touch. This Sunday Leeds had a Triathalon, the Brownlee brothers were photographed on a tractor steamroller thing improving part of the route,it caused uproar on a local FB page as a well known stretch of road nearby is a sheat hole and the council were lambasted by locals,we await a response,so back to you all the best for a speedy and pain free recovery.

Ranting seems perfectly reasonable in the circumstances.

CE are of course far from perfect, but austerity cut the budget for road repairs nationwide drastically, so that's the root cause IMO.
Don't disagree on the budget cuts, just having sat in a public inquiry as an expert witness against them, their ineptness beggars belief. The other thing that gets me is when you cross the border into Staffs or Derbyshire the roads seem better. Anecdotal of course.

The root cause is too many heavy vehicles making holes in the road. There are roads not resurfaced in 40 years which are still OK because they were closed to through motor traffic.

But who's responsible for not getting motorists off cycle routes? Oh, yes, the "far from perfect" council. So the problem still has the same home, really.
