Potential dates

I would like to propose either the first or second weekend in June. For me, preferably the first (5/6th)

* I went for may not for any reason but theres usually a random week in may that has glorious weather, so hope we would catch it!

I went for June but prefer the second half of June. All of July should be good for me.

I voted for May because I'm thinking - which might be incorrect - that the midges in Scotland won't be about that early and riders, volunteers, helpers and organisers might not get bitten as much while waiting around.

They won't be out in early june either.

I've said May, but that's because I have no idea when we'll be taking a family holiday (usually July) and I already have some commitments in June.

May - as it has two Bank Holiday weekends

May not be a good idea to go over a bank holiday weekend way too much traffic., also may be worth checking on the history of wind direction for the periods you are thinking about.

Whilst not wanting to be involved in your attempt, I hope you do not mind mt small inputs.
