Four spotted using the CTC app on my iPhone. Two repaired so far. It's just odd that they repair only the potholes that I spot and ignore similar ones just a few metres away. More spotting required.

The one they fixed today was a dreadful one so I'm glad that has gone.

I wish I had the same result. I complained about a stretch of road last year that was fixed, but no joy from 'fill that hole' from my recent submission.

Seen so so many potholes in the last few days its probably easier to report the places that don't have them.

I know someone who works behind the scenes in potholes, and their council has a depth of 4cm before they take action to fill it up - I thought it would be because else they would have thousands of shallow ones to deal with, and it probably is partly that, but also because if they try to tarmac anything less than that depth, the tarmac doesn't really take and would disintegrate quickly with cars driving over it.

So if you want a pothole fixed, get to work with a pickaxe and really give them something to get their teeth into. 80)

Its the time of year, the bad weather has taken its toll and there are loads of new ones to learn about.

There is a terrible stretch of road near me that has major potholes (6cm deep some of them!) littered right where I ride secondary. Fortunately there is the odd pinch point which means that I can go in primary and avoid them but it is an obstacle course! I sent an email to the local council and they replied saying that it was on this years agenda of roads to resurface. They didnt say when though.

There's still lots of old ones to remember as well !!!

I must admit I don't worry too much about the old ones, on the roads I use a lot I know where they are, its the new ones that are likely too cause me most grief.

Is that Towyn Road, between Pensarn and, well, Towyn? Seeing as it is a main road, the surface is a disgrace.

My local council are doing a lot of re-surfacing work at the moment; obviously using up what's left of this years budget before the new financial year starts in April perhaps?

The road I normally take has a section that is so badly rutted due to poor edging of a repired section that if I can, I pull right into the centre of the road to avoid having to ride over it. It is not a pothole persay, but is equally as dangerous. I wouldn't mind but the council have resurfaced to of the highest value residential streets in the area within the last 12 months and yet this one has been like this for a couple of years.
