Hi

Does anyone have any experience with the Power2Max power meters? I'm getting closer and closer to biting the bullet and buying a power meter and the more I look at this one I'd say it's top of my list.

I'm not a competitive cyclist (please don't go into why, just accept I want one ;-p) so I'm happy with entry level. Really the only two that seem to be in my price range are this one:

http://www.power2max.de/europe/en/Produkt/power-meters-en/ta-vega-road/

Which for some reason when I select the options (110 BCD and 172.5mm) it's less than the stated price at 740EURO (where the hell is the Euro key!!). Or a Stages Ultegra or 105 crank.

Stages is good in that I can buy it locally but the Power2Max has left/right which would satisfy the data geek in me!!

I'm ignoring Power Tap as I use my bike on a turbo as well with a different wheel.

All in the P2M with new chainrings and delivery is coming out at 870Euro (c.£725) which seems pretty reasonable as I could do with new chainrings anyway.

Also, where it says compatible with BSA68 bottom bracket, does that mean my current Shimano 105 BB will be OK?!

Lots of questions I know, apologies :-)

Thanks

Lee

If your 105 is hollowtech2(24mm axle) then no. The vega is a square taper cartridge bb

That would work I guess

Final dumb question (hopefully) is it simply a case of buying a BSA68 BB and replace it with the 105 one or are their other specs to take into account to know it will fit my frame? i.e. are the threads of the two and the width etc the same?!

I do know some things honest!! :-)

Right think it's clicking. The frame format is BSA68 British thread, then the bottom bracket type is Standard Square Taper for the one I posted or BB1(non-brand name of Hollowtech II?!?!) for the Rotor. Think that's where I was getting confused, I thought BSA68 was the actual bottom bracket type.
