Not bothered at all by that fact. Usually only preload what I anticipate spending that day and mainly used for subsistence purchases.

You will always need some cash in hand as some outlets, b and b etc does not accept cash. I find that tesco provide the best exchange rate and they don't charge you for cash advance if you use their credit card.
But whenever possible, I use credit card, Santander bank zero card.
I have used it in so many countries, Asian, USA, central America, Europe. It has always been the cheapest option.
I worked out that for a 10 day holiday it saved about £25 or more.

+1 for the Caxton FX card. Used it last year with no problems. Last year was Visa, now a Mastercard but hopefully this won't change anything. The exchange rate for euros is considerably poorer now though thanks to the eu referendum :angry:
