Ok, I know its never going to happen but I just wondered.

Which weather forecast do you look at when planning bike rides etc... I usually use the BBC but got caught in a massive hail storm last week which hurt like hell . . . .

Look out the window, or Met Office

ETA: one of the best peices of advice I once got on weather prediction was to assume that tomorrow would be more of less the same as today. Most of the time it is correct, but with the odd surprise thrown in.

www.yr.no seems to be quite good though you need to switch it over to English in the top right hand corner and just search for the place you are after. after that it remembers the places you have searched for, though if Thursday remains the same, I am going to get a good soaking cycling to and from college...

Yr.no is the one I use (what with it being local) but it has been awful this year, mainly due to there being a lot of different weather in a small area making it difficult to forecast.

www.raintoday.co.uk Awesome for rain dodging  There is an element of being the weatherman, but i prefer to look what the rains doing so if the forecast says dry, at least you know if theres a massive storm nearby etc.

strangely we found it whilst in norway last year (think we were stunningly lucky with the weather last year though! seemed more able to predict , but the weather has been so tempremental this year that the only sensible prediction seems to be guessing games/answers on a postcard please...

As someone mentioned earlier, the best method is to look out the window to see what's happening. And if you need to know what's happening elsewhere, build up a network of friends so you can phone them and ask them to look out of their windows. :sun::rain:

I've got the met office app, and also look at xcweather.co.uk
Not sure really whether it's any more or less accurate than the met office one though.
