Prep for winter

At the minute I'm laid on a sunbed by the pool side in 35 degree heat in Spain. And all I can think of is that I need a decent cheap soft shell jacket for winter, anyone know one.

What size? and how much do you want to spend?.

Aldi/lidl also have stuff in every few months . keep and eye out as the tops are perfectly fine.
I tend to use a base layer + roubaix long sleeve jerseys + gilet so i can vary layers depending on how cold it is .

I've been picking up items since about April - several pairs of overshoes, a couple of thermal bib shorts, 2 rain jackets, long-fingered and thermal gloves, l/s bamboo base layer and a thermal jacket.

As a previous boy scout ... "be prepared". Particularly this year
