I had mare with them. Ordered 4 items which were all very cheap in the sale. Parcel was left out the front, far from hidden, and took 2.5 weeks before they even agreed to refund. I wanted replacements, but they refused. Probably because I got them for a steal. I shan't be using them again.

Was that the company's fault, the courier (e.g. the dreadful Yodel) or the postman?

It was the fault of Yodel, as far as the parcel becoming lost, but that caused only 2 days delay whilst they interviewed the driver. The remaining 15 days was solely down to ProBikeKit. They were extremely poor to deal with on the phone or via email.

Then tried Twitter, in case they could help. Reply received saying they would resolve it, followed by a further reply saying to phone them.

I see that their pricing is very competitive, and decent delivery times, but they are far from great at customer service after taking your cash and having a problem.

I am not saying that they are crap, as clearly their pricing is very good at times. Unfortunately, something has to give. I doubt I will take the risk again.
I would say that they are crap - any shop can order goods from a supplier and sell them on. A good shop though actually cares about its customers and offers good service as well as the goods - PBK forget to do that bit in my experience!

E-mail received from PBK today (no money yet though) - looks like they are just very slow due to Christmas and all that.

I know that a few years ago, maybe 3, PBK were bought out & moved to a Cheshire address from a Lancs or Yorkshire base (can't remember which),

it maybe that the shareholders are now more concerned with profit margins & shifting stock than customer care, which would be a shame really.

Again, not ordered from them for a while, but would take a punt if the price is best.

I have ordered stuff from most of the UK online stores and had problems with all of them, for me the decision to use a company again depends on how rhe problem is resolved. PBK sent me a number of items rattling around in a plastic bag (not a good idea for international sgipping)which didn't arrive in one piece with some things disappearing through holes and a helmet damaged by heavy items. The missing items were replaced but I had to work harder on the helmet, in the end I had a refund and two letters one telling me to return the helmet the other telling me to destroy it, unfortunately I had already returned it at a cost of $30 when I got the second letter and never saw my 30 bucks again.
