Problems with Map My ride

Since Bikehike saving a route facility was withdrawn I have signed up for map my ride. It has some good features but seems to make my puter run slowly and if you make a mistake it takes ages to undo it in tiny increments.There seems to be no facility to "cut to end" that you had on bikehike.

I have just accidently clicked on the map adding about 50 miles to a 100 mile ride I spent hours loading,it will take more hours to undo the mistake so I am fed up and looking for either suggestions on better ways to use map my ride or is there a better place to map and store routes?

You can still save a local copy of your route using bikehike.
bikeroutetoaster is good too
mapmyride is Sh*te

Thanks people. I eventually managed to amend my ride on map my ride but wont be using it again ,seems very slow and not user friendly to me.

Will try the bike toaster .

Ive always used Mapmyride...and usually find it a pain, so slow. Stick in the mud me, havnt bothered to find a better site...now i know its 'normal' i think i'll try the link above.

Plotted the same route (Merlin Sportiff route)last night using bike route toaster ,really nice to use if you make a mistake you can instantly delete your last entry.

Saving it though seemed to take ages,after half an hour of saving I got fed up waiting shut down and went to bed.We
have a fairly quick broadband connection so is this normal or just a temporary glitch?

Will give the toaster another go tonight.

PS just saved a route on bikeroutetoasterand it was almost instant,must have been a glitch lasdt night.

I like MapMy......(Ride/Run/Walk) but sometimes the undo is a pain.

What makes it easier for me is I have a "gaming mouse" (I'm not a hardcore PC gamer, it was just the only wired optical mouse with forward/back buttons in the shop)

Next to the wheel it has a "rapidfire" button which automatically gives 5 clicks. Making undoing much less of a chore (for a couple of miles at least)
