Hello, I have long been curious, but never thought to ask, so here goes:

When clicking on someone's profile and it says you cannot see their details, what does that actually mean?

I cannot see any option to block anyone's profile, so how can they do it to me? Does it mean they have blocked me completely, or similar?

It means they have chosen to hide their personal details. Click on your profile icon and choose "Privacy" in the left hand column. You will then see a variety of options. Scroll down the page to "Allow all users" to see the options in the screenshot. To illustrate I have just changed my option in the orange box to "Nobody". I usually have it set at "Members."
