The Glue that binds us together.
Picked up an old NEC projecter of ebay for £1.16p. was not expecting much it was just something to play with. no HDMI conectors but a few old school plugs, went into the menu to see usage 60% bulb life left, told me filters needed changing, NEC filter set £90.00. looked on temu got half a metre of filter cloth for a couple of quid, reset timer perfect. got a lead that fitted phone and projecter, was amazed by picture quality, had to dim the lights a bit, today i bought a 100 inch screen, just got to find somewhere to hang it, i can feel a movie night coming on. anyone else play with them?

Yes, we have a big 100" electric screen - wife got it for next to nothing when they changed the main board room round at work. I bought an Epson ultra short throw projector (EB-585wi) which needed a new bulb (from Epson) for a grand total of £100 (projector about £40, bulb £60).

Mine will do some fancy 'touch' screen style stuff (i.e. you touch the wall) if you install the software for the laptop, but I've not bothered. We literally pop the projector on a stand near the wall, just a foot away, and it projects upwards. It's one that folk used to use in schools. It's just short of HD and looks amazing. Star Wars is fabulous.

Bluetooth the sound to either the hifi or a pair of Anker Motion Boom speakers and it's very good !

We even use it outside on another screen in the summer. Son has borrowed it in the past for the World Cup and watched the match on the side of a luton van (huge screen).

I don't have the room for one but have always coveted one. I've played a fair few video game competitions on various projectors upto cinema size screens, there's really nothing else like it!

I have one on the boat and a drop down screen I'm so far unsuccessful in figuring out how to get my phone to wireless connectivity however.
