projector off an Acer Aspire One?

Can anyone assist?

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook thing running Windows XP. I can't get it to work through an external monitor, TV or projector via the serial port. I assume I haven't set the display thing up properly - any ideas on how I can do this please?

VGA port, simply as another monitor. You need to right click on the desktop, go to properties and "extend desktop". You'll probably need to crank the resolution down to 800*600.
