Whatever comes free with you ISP, eg; Norton with BT. I favour Kaspersky, but I ain't buying it while I've got a free one even if it is a bit clunky. Download Trusteer also for extra protection on sensitive sites.

Been using AVG for yonks and it has been pretty good. But after reading this thread and checking a few reviews decided to give MSE a go. Been on it a few days, it certainly seems less obtrusive than AVG.

I had Kaspersky Internet Security 2012. I kept getting blue screen of death, and the error codes led to Kaspersky. In the end I uninstalled it and installed MSE a couple of months ago. Since then I have had no problems, no blue screens and this little laptop is a lot faster.

Hmmm,

I found AVG got a bit bloaty, then switched to Avast, but that's bloated a bit. MSE worth a try ?
I would recommend MSE.It's simple to install,it updates automatically via windows update and it doesn't hog CPU either,it just does it's stuff in the background.
