Cycle it through a car wash, then get busy with the mr sheen. Don't waste the extra 2 quid on the wax n dry though.

Any kind of polish that wont react with paintwork really, it smooths the surface making it hard for grime to stick. Car wax as good as anything

Cool, cheers guys. So when i get my new bike, i just polish it up, then wash it after n apply another coat of said polish?

yes.
Plain water and some elbow grease will clean the muckiest of frames.
No need for washing up liquid, car shampoos, MucOff etc

Unless you are off roading and your bike has been covered in 2 inch thick mud. Some sort of detergent will help.

For chain cleaning, do a search of the forums for the Mickle Method.

Autoglym super resin once in a while, mainly Mr Sheen original. Works.
