I overtook a lady this morning, quite a speed difference and said "mornin'" in quite a loud cheery voice...
It was only when I got in to work that I thought this might be taken as a bit of a in your face you slow moving fool" comment by some cyclists...
Pointless wonderings, but if someone overtakes you and is quite loud and cheery in their greeting, does it pi$$ you off a bit?
if you're overtakingg them at quite a speed difference they're probably used to being overtaken, so probalby don't really notice you and therefore just think you're being nice and friendly and jovial.
Don't assume that they're cycling as fast as they can, or that they're miffed at being overtaken. I'd love to get overtaken. Maybe one day I will.
