:bravo:great isn't it, now it starts to get expensive ^_^ university life seems to cost a lot for some reason.
My daughter went to Lincoln university and now lives in Melbourne , Australia where she runs her own childrens clothes design and manufacturing business under her own label.

Well done to the girls :okay:
We're not parents  but have high hopes for our almost 10 year old niece and 8 year old nephew
We can be proud but don't have to pay £££

There are a few threads on this subject already, so apologies for repeating myself but I'm a very proud dad today so I don't care...

My son got an email first thing this morning from Manchester Uni telling him they've accepted him on the History course starting in 2017 (he's deferring to stay on at school and work as a teaching assistant next year).

Yep, both my twins got into their first choice Unis. Cubette is off to Hull to do Special Needs and Inclusive Education, and Cubester is off to Harper Adams to do Rural Enterprise and Land Management. Two very happy young people, and two very proud and relieved parents.

I shall repeat mine as well...

I am a proud uncle. My nephew was predicted to get 2 As, a B and a C... and he needed two As and a B.

He actually ended up with two A*s (Physics and Chemistry), A (Maths) and B (History). He's off to study Stupidly Difficult Maths and Astrophysics at Birmingham Uni... and his girlfriend has also got into Birmingham Uni.
my daughter's other half also awaits her at cambridge, on the same course but a year ahead and at a different college (she deliberately chose a different college "just in case")…

Do you mind if I ask which college they are at? My two lads went to Fitz and loved every moment.
daughter going to trinity hall (not trinity), and other half is at pembroke. she didn't fancy fitz, or sidney sussex, even though i've had other folk in the club telling me how much their kids liked it; for some reason we've a lot of members with kids who are cambridge undergrads or graduates…

My granddaughter got the grades that she wanted/needed. She is off to Aberystwyth University to study French and English.

I went there- she'll love it, absolutely brilliant place. My tip would be to live in one of the seafront halls rather than 'up top'. You're in town then and you can't beat living right by the sea. I'll never forget the amazing sunsets or the storms lobbing rocks at the building!
Wish I'd spent a bit more time studying rather than down The Castle Arms mind!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

She has her room already sorted out. Her best friend is going there as well. We only live about 20 miles away from her as well. Aber is a good town to be in.
