I'll start the bidding with today's lunchtime delight at the City Barge @Strand on the Green, nr Kew.

I give you the Crabacado Burger!

Brioche bun with whole softshell crab, sliced avocado, lettuce and fishy mayo.

Sounds disgusting to me as I do not like the taste of crab (assuming its real crab).

I like the sound of that, as dave7 says, is it real crab ? I bet it cost a few££. I don't like poncy food as a rule because I still felt hungry afterwards so I tend to keep clear of it, but I like the sound of that.

I looked it up... £17! Does look tasty, but that's a bit pricey.

Softshell - harvested at the point of shedding old shell and before new one had hardened.

very light tempura style batter...

And, battered fish is a valid cooking method as the delicate fish steams and does not contact the oil
