P'ture :-(

It was my last exams today so I went out for a couple but stayed sober and left early'ish as I wanted to cycle home and I knew it'd be icy. Anyway the back roads to the uni are sheet ice so I decided to lift my bike up the stairs to the main road which was clear. Unfortunately I didn't see the drawing pin somebody had left for me  There's not much point to this thread really (other than the point of the said pin!) just wanted to say changing a tube at -4deg (according to the met) ain't fun. Ah well it was my first p'ture in nearly 8000 miles on that bike and probably my first in about (an unlucky) 13,000 miles; I hope its about the same time before the next one.

Done better than me (this year).I have had two p*nct*res one caused by a pothole and another caused by a rubbing brake block on the tyre.

I had one too this week ... and had emptied my pannier before I went out so didn't have a pump or anything - luckily it was only about a mile walk. And I didn't find the weapon either ... which is leaving me worried that it it is still in there.

It still the same tires on the bike and after 6000 miles I expected to get loads but thats over 8000 miles touch wood and that has been the first one since the bike was a few weeks old. Not a tack but the same thing again some muppet (probably deliberately) leaving something in the middle of the path.
