The Peel Park Hotel, Accrington. Had a couple of excellent pints there last night, it's at the foot of the Coppice hill by the old Accrington Stanley ground. Great place with loads of character, very popular, plenty of parking, with all the usual keg stuff and six cask ales including a cask lager for those who like to drink Euro-pi55. See the reviews here: http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/14/14068/Peel_Park_Hotel/Accrington

The Dizzy Blonde went down an absolute treat leaving a great taste in the mouth, fnaar fnaar! http://www.frederic-robinson.co.uk/beers/dizzyblonde.html

Any Lancs riders interested in arranging a forum meet? My MTB club does some riding around there so I could take you round a nice little evening route starting and finishing at the pub.

7 pm on Weds 12th or Weds 19th? Much later and we'll need lights.

Let's see who else comes along on here.....

Of those dates, I can only make the 12th. That's next Wednesday but I can make practically any Sunday. I know the Peel Park very well as my running club meet there on Tuesday nights in August.

Are you going to be thrashing it????? Can I pop along and see if I can try and keep up with you two? I can always bog off home if it gets too much - Peel Park's only over the road from me ;)

Micro-brewery? The Royal? I've been there a few times and didn't know that.

CC - no, if we get a ride together we'll go at the pace of the slowest. It will only be a short ride - 10 miles or so. MTBing is a lot about social riding! At the moment next Wednesday is looking the favourite (sorry Dan Bo!)

yes its know as the Red Rose Brewery

It was in the cellar but I'm reliably informed by Corvette chic that now it has been relocated , fittingly enough, to an unit on Allan Ramsbottom Way

(Alan Ramsbottom (born 30 April 1936) was a professional racing cyclist from Clayton-le-Moors England, who twice rode the Tour de France)
