I went down a local(ish) pub last night with my little dog,i normally cycle there but i thought i'd take him for a change as he was wimpering behind the door so off we went. I'd only been in the place about 15 minutes when a bloke who was leaving slammed the door shut telling anyone in the place to grab their dogs as there were two "pitbulls" trying to get in. Some drunken low life had left them outside while he went in for a top up,then he came staggering back walking out with his pint. He left the pub along with his dogs but the girl behind the bar unfortunately decided to challenge him about walking out with the pubs pint pot. After a few seconds we heard shouting and those dogs growling and barking so the regulars rushed outside to see the low life grabbing hold of the girl while his dogs were going ape! The bloke who stopped them getting in in the first place grabbed the lowlife and threw him to the ground then he got up ran off with his dogs

Someone phoned for the police but by the time they'd arrived lowlife and pitbulls were long gone. Anyway,i think i've had enough of pubs for a while, there are far too many incidents happening in the places for my liking so i'm staying in more.

A very unpleasant episode but from what I see this is not typical of all pubs so I would agree to giving that one a wide berth but could be an option but I doubt that drunken rubbish will come back there again anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the number of times you have posted this message is the same as the number of times I visit a pub in a year^_^.
it's a pity that you are seeing a worrying number of pub incidents, but after your most recent experience I can understand your decision to give pubs a miss for a bit:sad:.

I don't like pubs either I just go to help keep the local amenities going. About 20 round the bar when landlord asked us to pis* off its Sunday, early closing night. So we left an hour later. Can't say I see much in the way of kicking off round here. Maybe it's because it's rural. One incident shouldn't put you off going to the pub. Bound to be one every now and again.

Scum, it is class that seems to be growing faster than any other. For us though we do not use the local, as some of the regulars will want to take me outside to see a car they want fixed for free, or will take their shoes and socks off at the bar for the wife to check their corns.
