Set out to ride from leeds to warrington this lunchtime. After a punishing trip to pudsey and brighouse, i capitulated and rode through cleckheaton to huddersfield. Where i got the train.

Combo of heat, unfitness and common sense. Still, managed 30 miles in all!

For someone who claims to be unfit, you'd bitten off a lot more than you could chew there, but still - it wasn't a bad effort. Remember ... "Discretion is the better part of valour"!

PS Are you sure it wasn't 30 kms? I just checked my map and I can't see how it was 30 miles unless you did a very meandering route.
